ASHER MAZUR

Feb. 16 | 2020

Asher has been with Common Pastures since he was 11 years old. He looks forward to the time he can return to Mali, the friends he made there, and see how the legume trees have grown. For the past six years, He has continued to be passionate about keeping the earth healthy for both animals and plants. Asher tries to repair some of the damage that humans cause to our environment by educating himself, his peers, and actively participating in projects.

One activity he enjoys is being a site leader with the Fox-Wolf Watershed Cleanup. Another is helping his Environmental Science instructor with planting the school’s garden. Asher begins engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute this fall (2021), in Massachusetts. How fitting that the mascot of his college is a “goat.!” …one of his favorite animals. Asher will continue to enjoy his outdoor adventures while respecting nature at the same time.
