Lisa has a Master’s of Science degree in Educational Psychology and for the past 20 years has been the co-director of Life Adventure Therapies. She participated in the USAID Special Program Support Project grants (2015 – 2017). Lisa assisted with volunteers in the planting of trees in villages to provide nutrition for small ruminants and help with sustainability. In collaboration with Common Pastures in Mali, Lisa provided education and support for women, and their children with disabilities.

In California Lisa provided services and advocated in the courts for children of undocumented immigrants. As a co-leader of the Sisterhood of Salaam Shalom, Lisa builds relationships between Muslim and Jewish women; creating inclusive spaces that foster peace, celebrate commonalities and respect differences. Lisa spent five years in the Army National Guard as a medic providing medical support at trainings, in military clinics and at the Milwaukee County Hospital emergency room.
